I lived in downtown Toronto for years and often spent summer days at the Toronto Music Garden, sitting by the harbourfront and listening to live music. The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum became my muse on a recent trip to Boston. Included here are the museum's facade, the garden with its blooming flowers and various artefacts and the beautiful flooring that dominates the garden. I found it fascinating that the museum is kept exactly like its curator designed it.

In 2022, Paris took my heart. The cafés were abuzz with conversation, and stories unfolded over cups of coffee. If you roam around Paris cafes, the rattan chairs of different designs fill a cafe. This watercolour artwork, my tribute to Paris, features bistro chairs and centerpieces inspired by the Louvre. It captures the contrast between Paris's vibrant simplicity and its opulent treasures.

In Indian street markets, vendors welcome you warmly into their colourful world—walls lined floor to ceiling with shoes and sandals (‘juti’), creating a rich, tactile experience. This is the world I grew up in. Each shoe in the painting is painted with care to reflect the variety and craftsmanship of Indian markets. As a woman of colour, I chose to highlight a woman vendor—an everyday figure in these vibrant spaces.
